When you pay for a server with a stablecoin, the network you pick — not the coin — decides your fee. Here's how the common ones compare so you keep costs to a few cents.
The networks, ranked by fee
- TRC20 (Tron) — very low fees, fast confirmations. The go-to for most top-ups.
- BEP20 (BNB Chain) — similarly cheap and quick.
- Polygon — low fees, widely supported.
- Solana — very low fees, very fast.
- ERC20 (Ethereum) — reliable but expensive; fees spike when the network is busy. Avoid it for small amounts.
Why it matters
On ERC20, a busy-network transfer can cost several dollars. On TRC20 or BEP20, the same transfer is cents. For a $15 top-up, that difference is the gap between paying ~0.3% and paying 20%+ in fees.
