Refunds & Billing Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains how deposits, billing, and refunds work on Kvantis. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Prepaid balance
Kvantis operates on a prepaid balance. You deposit cryptocurrency, which is credited to your internal balance after the payment is confirmed on-chain. The credited amount reflects the value actually received, which may differ from the quoted amount due to network fees and exchange-rate movement. Under-payments are credited at the amount received.
Hourly billing
- Servers are billed by the hour from your balance, at the price shown at deploy time.
- A Server is billed for as long as it exists, including while stopped. Stopping a Server does not stop billing.
- Billing stops only when you destroy the Server.
Zero balance
Servers are prepaid one hour at a time. When a Server’s paid hour ends, we attempt to charge the next hour from your balance. If your balance cannot cover the next hour, the Server is permanently destroyedand its data is lost. There is no separate suspension window, so keep a sufficient balance (we show your remaining runway in the dashboard) to avoid interruption.
Traffic (bandwidth)
Each plan includes a monthly outbound-traffic allowance (shown for the plan). Traffic beyond that allowanceis charged from your balance at the plan’s per-GB overage rate. If your balance cannot cover the overage, we notify you by email and power off the Server to stop further traffic charges; you can start it again after topping up, or once the monthly allowance resets. Sustained excessive traffic may also be treated as resource abuse under our Acceptable Use Policy.
Refunds
- Cryptocurrency payments are irreversible. Deposits are generally non-refundableand are intended to be spent on the Service.
- We do not support chargebacks (crypto payments have none).
- No refunds are provided for Servers terminated due to violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.
- In exceptional cases (e.g. a clear billing error on our side), contact us and we will review in good faith.
Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving reasons.
Because our servers are provisioned on demand, when you deploy a server you expressly request that we begin performance immediately and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully performed. If performance has begun but is not yet complete, you may still withdraw but must pay a proportionate amount for the services already provided up to the point of withdrawal.
To withdraw, send a clear statement (e.g. by email to support@kvantis.org) of your decision to withdraw from the contract. A model withdrawal form is available on request. Unspent balance that has not been used for any service may be refunded on request, subject to the irreversibility of the original crypto payment (see above).
Price changes
Prices may change over time. The hourly price of an existing Server is fixed at the value shown when it was deployed; new deployments use current prices.
