Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the Kvantis Service. It exists to protect our network, our providers, and third parties. You are also bound by the acceptable-use policies of our underlying infrastructure providers (currently Vultr). Violating this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund, and, where appropriate, cooperation with law enforcement.
Prohibited activities
You must not use the Service, or allow it to be used, for any of the following:
- Illegal content or activity of any kind under applicable law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance; reported to authorities immediately.
- Spam or unsolicited bulk email/messaging, and support of spam operations (e.g. mailing-list hosting for spammers).
- Network attacks — denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS), amplification/reflection, flooding, or participation in botnets or command-and-control (C2) infrastructure.
- Unauthorised access — hacking, port or vulnerability scanning of networks you do not own, credential brute-forcing, or exploitation of third-party systems.
- Malware — distribution or hosting of viruses, ransomware, trojans, or phishing pages.
- Fraud — phishing, carding, identity theft, or deceptive schemes.
- Open relays / proxies operated to facilitate abuse, and traffic anonymisation used to commit any of the above.
- Intellectual-property infringement — distribution of pirated or counterfeit material.
- Resource abuse — activity that degrades the network or infrastructure for others.
Email & ports
To protect our IP reputation, outbound SMTP (ports 25/587) may be restricted by default. Legitimate mail senders may request an exception; abuse of mail privileges results in termination.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for everything running on your Servers, including software you install and traffic they generate, whether by you or by a compromised system. Keep your Servers secured and patched.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, throttle, or terminate Servers or accounts, remove content, and preserve or disclose information where required by law or provider policy. We are not obligated to provide notice for abuse-related actions. No refunds are issued for terminations due to AUP violations.
Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse originating from our network, email abuse@kvantis.org with logs and timestamps (UTC). We investigate all reports promptly.
