Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kvantis platform and services (the "Service") operated by Kvantis ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

Kvantis provides on-demand cloud virtual private servers ("Servers") that are provisioned on third-party cloud infrastructure (currently Vultr). We act as a reseller: the underlying compute is operated by our provider(s), and their availability and performance are outside our direct control. We may change, add, or remove underlying providers at any time.

3. Accounts & security

You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys secret. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You are solely responsible for the content, software, and configuration of your Servers.

4. Billing & balance

  • The Service uses a prepaid balance. You top up your balance in cryptocurrency through a third-party payment processor (NOWPayments).
  • Servers are billed by the hour from your balance for as long as they exist — including while stopped. Billing stops only when a Server is destroyed.
  • If your balance reaches zero or below, your Servers may be suspended and, after a grace period, permanently destroyed. See the Refunds & Billing Policy.
  • Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible and subject to network and exchange-rate risk. Amounts are credited based on the value actually received.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and with the terms and acceptable-use policies of our underlying providers. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

6. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or any Server, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or the AUP, non-payment, suspected fraud or abuse, or where required by our providers or by law. You may stop using the Service at any time by destroying your Servers.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uptime, or uninterrupted operation. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kvantis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Kvantis harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Where you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Legal notice (Impressum) is available at /legal/impressum.
